NSIRH Joins Ministry of Health Communication Meeting

The National Spinal Injury Referral Hospital (NSIRH) participated in a Communication Focal Officers Meeting held at Afya House on 21st November 2025, bringing together communication heads from various health SAGAs.

The meeting was led by Principal Secretary for Medical Services, Dr. Ouma Oluga, who emphasized the importance of coordinated, clear, and timely communication in supporting government health programmes and countering misinformation.

“Misinformation thrives in silence… communication bridges the gap between policy and the public,” he noted.

Dr. Oluga called for a unified approach across all agencies to strengthen public awareness, promote trust, and enhance the visibility of key health reforms, including Universal Health Coverage (UHC).

NSIRH remains committed to aligning its communication efforts with the Ministry of Health to ensure accurate, impactful, and people-centered health information.
